Overview:
Jhpiego is a leading international non-profit organization affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University, USA. Jhpiego is working in
health sector to increase access to healthcare services globally. In Pakistan, Jhpiego has been working since 1997 in the field of family planning and primary healthcare. Jhpiego is seeking suitable candidates for the following position for its project on “Improving Postpartum Care For Mothers and Newborns In Pakistan” in Punjab. The position is based in District Mandi Bahuddin.
Clinical trainer will provide technical support to Jhpiego’s “Improving Postpartum Care For Mothers and Newborns in Pakistan” project and work closely with colleagues in Islamabad office to ensure smooth project implementation.
Job Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate All Jhpiego’s project related activities including management, trainings/workshops, assessments, supportive supervision and meetings with the district teams and other as required
  • Lead efforts in improving the quality of Postpartum care and FP Services at selected facilities of the project district through the Standards Base Management & Recognition (SBM-R) approach
  • Facilitate performance standards , guidelines, manuals and provide clinical expertise to the intervention sites
  • Provide training and other technical assistance for quality interventions.
  • Coach and provide supportive supervision of all technical staff posted at the selected health facilities at the district for the provision of quality FP/PPFP Services
  • Ensure that relevant data from selected facilities is timely entered and reports are made available at the project office
Skills Required:
Qualifications and Experience Required:

Medical graduate with post graduate degree in OBGYN
Expert in family planning, reproductive health, including maternal/neonatal health, with at least five years’ experience providing expert guidance to international reproductive health/FP programs preferably.
Confident and competent in assessing and managing complications.
Proven management and leadership qualities with minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in preferably in primary health care programs.
Knowledge of FP and PHC programs.
Excellent skills in developing and executing work plans involving field teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both as a team member and independently as required.
Fluency in English and Urdu and willingness to travel to remote areas in the district.
